Privacy Policy
1. Scope and contact
This policy applies to Restoration (명화 복원실), the Android game with package com.jjjistudio.restorationstudio, and this page. Effective September 25, 2026. The operator and privacy contact is JJJI Studio: jjjistudio@gmail.com.
2. Information on your device
There are no accounts, logins, in-app purchases or online leaderboards. Puzzle progress, entered cells, undo history, completed paintings, unlocks, hint counts, play time, the last screen, language, sound and vibration settings are saved on your device. We do not send game saves to a developer server or use a separate analytics SDK. If enabled on your device, Android backup may include progress and settings in your Google account backup or device transfer. Age category, ad consent, ad SDK preferences and recent-screen sessions are excluded. The app has no account-based recovery or manual backup export.
3. Age groups and protection
Ordinary play does not require an age choice. On the first ad request you can choose Under 18 or 18 or older. Only the category is stored locally; we do not collect an exact age or birthday. You can change it in Settings or continue playing available puzzles without choosing. An unknown category does not initiate ads or UMP consent requests. All players selecting Under 18 receive child-directed treatment (TFCD), under-age-of-consent treatment (TFUA) and a G-rated content limit; we do not request personalized ads for them. Eighteen is a conservative app threshold, not a statement of every country’s legal consent age. These settings do not eliminate all communication needed to provide ads. Age changes are disabled during ad operations, apply to later requests and cannot recall previously sent data. In version 1.0.2 and later, if saving a choice fails, the category becomes unknown and new ad and consent requests are blocked until a choice is saved successfully. Parents and guardians may contact us about processing or deletion.
4. Rewarded ads and Google
We request only Google AdMob rewarded ads that you choose to watch. Depending on the selected action, the reward is three hints, a mistake check, skipping a puzzle tile, or unlocking a painting. We do not request banners, regular interstitials, app-open ads or other-network mediation. Only the SDK earned-reward callback grants a reward. Cancelling early grants none. If an ad cannot load, such as offline or with no inventory, painting unlocks alone are provided free; other actions show a notice. Google Mobile Ads may process IP addresses, approximate location inferred from IP, app and ad interactions, diagnostics such as performance and errors, and identifiers such as Android advertising ID and app set ID for ad delivery, measurement, analytics and fraud prevention. Data may go to Google and businesses involved in delivering ads. Not every identifier is used for every player; protective tags, region and consent affect processing. Google’s ad SDK uses TLS encryption in transit.
5. Consent and choices
The following flow applies to version 1.0.2 and later. Version 1.0.1 and earlier updates consent when an ad is requested and does not initiate a consent request on launch based only on a saved age category. When an age category is saved, the app updates consent information through Google User Messaging Platform (UMP) on launch. It also checks this information after selecting or changing the category, when opening ad settings, and when requesting an ad or changing consent choices. No such request starts while the age category is unknown. These updates communicate independently of ad viewing. A background update alone does not display a consent form or initialize the ad SDK to load ads. Requesting an ad or changing consent choices displays the necessary Google form. The ad SDK initializes and loads ads only when you request an ad and consent status permits ad requests. Consent and preparation can communicate before an ad plays. Ad consent choices in Settings lets you open the necessary Google form or retry a status check without watching an ad. Refusing personalized ads may still allow processing needed for ad delivery and security. Android advertising privacy settings can also reset or delete your advertising ID.
6. Retention, deletion and rights
Game saves remain on your device until deleted. The in-game progress reset preserves unlocked paintings, so it does not erase all data. Clearing app storage or uninstalling removes local game data and settings. Manage Android backups separately in Google backup settings; they may restore after reinstalling. Local deletion does not erase data already processed by Google. Google’s policies and settings govern retention, deletion and rights for its processing. You may email us to exercise applicable rights, including access, correction, deletion and restriction, over support information we process. We handle requests subject to legal limitations and may verify the requester only as necessary.
7. Support, services and international processing
For support we process your reply address, message and voluntary attachments in Gmail. Do not send unnecessary sensitive data or children’s names, schools or birthdays. We delete messages, attachments and copies without undue delay once their purpose is fulfilled and they are no longer needed. Records legally required to be retained are kept separately for that period and then destroyed. We use Google AdMob and UMP for ads and consent, Gmail for support and Firebase Hosting for this page. Information may be processed outside your country. The responsible Google entity, processing locations and transfer safeguards vary with region and service; see the policies below. We do not directly retain Google’s raw advertising data or have authority to erase it ourselves.
8. This page and changes
This page contains no ads, analytics tags, external fonts or tracking scripts. Connection data such as your IP address can reach Firebase Hosting to serve it. Reading the policy is not consent to watch ads or receive personalized ads. We update this page and its effective date when features, SDKs or practices change, with notices of material changes as required by applicable law.
